Description

nim-libp2p should produce logs that help users understand runtime behavior without overwhelming them during normal operation. This commitment audits noisy log paths, adjusts log levels and wording, and adds guidance for future logging changes.

This work complements exception trace cleanup by focusing on regular log messages, repeated debug output, and operational signal quality.

Description

Audit logs emitted during common node startup, dialing, discovery, identify, pubsub, Kademlia, transport, and shutdown workflows among others. Review with Logos Delivery, Logos Storage and Nimbus Teams which logs cause noise and should be modified.

Deliverables

• List of highest-noise log messages and their code paths
• Recommendation for each message: keep, lower level, reword, deduplicate, or remove
• Reproduction notes or log samples for targeted paths
